Following the crash of her ship on a distant planet, a dying clone, Ana finds herself trapped and dying inside the ship meant to protect her. When her comms light up with a cry for help, she discovers that one of her sisters, Olive, was reactivated without memories in a torn-apart section of the ship only a few miles away. For the first time in the long history of her multiple lives, Ana is faced with someone who isn't her, doesn't have her memories, and can't understand. Ana must convince this woman to end the short, fresh life she's been given to overwrite her memories with Olive's so that she can save Ana, her sisters, and the entire project they've spent generations working towards.
